The necessity for educational institutions to continually innovate and upgrade their systems stems from the fact that they are the foundation of a great nation. To address this problem, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) and Universitas Islam Riau (UIR) agreed to cooperate in the field of education. Similar histories as Islamic-based institutions may be found in both UMY and UIR. Thus, it will make both institutions cooperate well in the future.

On Thursday (13/10) at the AR Fachruddin A Building, UMY and UIR signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The Memorandum of Understanding was successfully signed in the presence of the Vice-Rector V of Cooperation and International Affairs of UMY and the Rector of UIR.

In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Achmad Nurmandi, M.Sc., the Vice Rector V of Cooperation and International Affairs, emphasized how educational institutions survive by developing a great system under a unique set of rules to address obstacles. “Through this collaboration, we may look for ways to raise each other’s standards.”

As the Rector of UIR, Prof. Dr. H. Syafrinaldi SH., MCL anticipated that numerous initiatives would be taken in the future to enhance the synergy between UIR and UMY. “We anticipate that a successful implementation of this MoU will strengthen the groundwork for achieving the highest accreditation score.”
