Cooperation of International Affairs hosted a pre-departure orientation for spring 2020 at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta twice every academic year for students who choose exchange opportunities to go abroad. The meeting provided useful information to students about adapting a new environment, as well as practical information about health and safety aspects abroad. The orientation was held on AR A 5th floor and was attended by Eko Priyo Purnomo, M.Sc., M.Res., Ph.D as Executive Director of Cooperation and International Affairs and Hilman Latief, MA., Ph.D as Vice Rector for Academic Affairs.

Through previous recruitment, 178 selected-students attended the Pre-Orientation Departure. Nine destinations are available, including Malaysia, Taiwan, Hongkong, Japan, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, South Korea, and China. Each program will be launched for one semester in February 2020.

The program also provides students with the opportunity to share sessions with the alumni for intensive discussion and planning related to administrative and other groundwork before departure for going abroad. (hnl)
