Build Cooperation to Attain Innovation, UMY and TransJakarta signed a Memorandum of Understanding!
On July 25, UMY and PT. Transportasi Jakarta held a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony at the AR Fachruddin A Building to establish cooperation in maximizing each other’s strengths. The ceremony consists of an introduction and welcoming remarks by the Rector of UMY and the President Director of PT. Transportasi Jakarta followed by signing the agreement and ended with exchanging gifts to symbolize their cooperation.
Transportasi Jakarta is a company under the Special Capital Region of Jakarta that runs all the transportation in Jakarta. Founded in 2004, PT. Transportasi Jakarta is the longest Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service in the world with 231 kilometers network length. Serving one million people every day in Jakarta, proving that PT. Transportasi Jakarta is one of the leading companies in the transportation industry.
As the President Director of PT. Transportasi Jakarta was an alumnae of UMY, the Rector of UMY appreciated this cooperation and said the contribution of alumnae will improve the university in many aspects. Mr. M. Yana Aditya, the President Director of PT. Transportasi Jakarta also hopes that UMY will contribute to PT. Transportasi Jakarta’s plans in the future.
This signing MoU ceremony would be a good start for both sides in creating mutual benefit and building strong cooperation with the hope there will be further cooperation in the future.
