Indonesia-Korea Cultural Camp

Indonesia-Korea Cultural Camp is a cultural learning program designed to be a platform of cultural exchange between Indonesia and Korea, to give an understanding on culture and social awareness for participants from both countries. On this program, participants will learn about culture from Indonesia and Korea while also making an international network of friendship.

Activities

         Cultural performance training for a month (every afternoon)

         Cultural tour activities in Yogyakarta (i.e Merapi, Borobudur, Prambanan, Gunung Kidul)

         Visit to many interesting places

         Cultural class (traditional cooking, dancing, and batik painting)

         Academic classes and discussion (Indonesian government, politics, law and economics)

 

How does the Indonesia-Korea Cultural Camp will work?

     Students are focused on the exchange of information between Indonesia and Korea through Academic   classes,   Cultural   activities,   field   trips   and   most   importantly   the   cultural performances that is going to sum up the program at the end. Although called as a camp, there will be no centralized accommodation for UMY students. UMY students could still stay at their own accommodation. The camp needs participants who passionate in international friendship and adapt the new environment (cultural differences) easily

 

Location of Indonesia-Korea Cultural Camp

         The activities of this camp will be focused on UMY area and UNIRES Putra

 

Start and duration

     This camp starts on Thursday, December 21, 2017 and ends on Tuesday, January 16. 2018 (only on weekdays). UMY Students, however is allowed to hang out with Korean students on weekends.

 

Requirements

         Must be free of classes (those who take 1-2 subjects could be considered)

         Commit to join the full program (75% attendance is required to achieve the certificate)

         Healthy

         The committee will review your application and contact you to conduct the interview  (11 – 13 December 2017)

         Deadline of Application: 30 November – 10 December 2017

         This program is limited for 18 participants only

         Document selection

         Interview test (If needed)

         Final announcement (15 December 2017)
