The Induction Day was organized to address several aspects related to Academic Life, Visa and Immigration, and Daily Life in Yogyakarta.

The Induction Day for the new semester took place at the Amphitheater Pascasarjana Building on March 8 with around 20 students attended, including 9 students from Afghanistan who received the Full-Time Student Scholarship from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia and Adaro Energy Indonesia, as well as students from Malaysia.

Idham Badruzaman, Ph.D., the Head of the International Relations Office, explained in his opening remarks that the Induction Day is organized exclusively for International Students, “Since UMY’s Student Orientation Day is only held in September, we have decided to organize an Induction Day specifically for international students. This is to ensure that all international students receive thorough and detailed information.”

Moreover, Idham also emphasized that Induction Day is a great occasion and the perfect time to acquire comprehensive information about Student Life at UMY. The main agenda is filled with presentation given by the Office of Cooperation and International Affairs UMY (OCIA UMY) and Student and Alumni Affairs UMY.
