Universiti Sains Malaysia Visit UMY To Discuss Further Collaboration
Cooperating with overseas institutions is one of the steps that must be taken to accomplish the goal of internationalization at UMY. Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) which has a similar vision to UMY has been a great partner to the institution ever since 2010. The two institutions had worked together on several occasions.
UMY and USM gathered on Monday (29/8) at the AR Fachruddin B Building to arrange their future cooperation. USM’s visit and the initiatives they discussed together were warmly welcomed by UMY.
USM stated their plan to explore the possibility of offering their programs outside of Malaysia such as master’s programs in hadith, global Islamic finance, Islamic development, and double degrees in post-graduate programs. Moreover, USM is amenable to cross-disciplinary research collaboration too.
Furthermore, such visit and discussion could pave the way for innovation to strengthen ties between the two institutions and improve both in various academic fields.
