Office of Cooperation and International Affairs Hosts Informative Session on SLVP Program for Fall 2024
On Friday, June 14, 2024, the Office of Cooperation and International Affairs successfully conducted an informative session on the Sabbatical Leave and Visiting Professor (SLVP) program for the upcoming fall semester, titled “Sosialisasi SLVP Semester Ganjil TA 2024/2025.” The session provided valuable insights into the SLVP program, with key presentations from Idham Badruzaman, Ph.D., the Person-in-Charge (PIC) for Visiting Professors, and Dr. Maria Ulfa, Ph.D., the PIC for Sabbatical Leave.
The SLVP program is a strategic initiative to enhance internationalization efforts by facilitating academic exchanges. The program invites professors from partner universities and institutions ranked within the QS Top 100 to participate as visiting professors. Additionally, the program also enables the UMY’s lecturers to undertake sabbatical leave at these prestigious universities and partners.
During the session, it was announced that submissions for this batch of the SLVP program will open in June 2024. The program is scheduled to be implemented between October and December 2024. This initiative is expected to foster global academic collaboration and enhance education and research quality through exchanging knowledge and expertise, marking as a significant step towards the institution’s goal of internationalization.
