The Immigration Office Class I TPI Yogyakarta collaborated with the University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta to organize the 2022 Karyo Festival to commemorate the 72nd anniversary of immigration. The “It’s All About Immigration” festival is divided into three series of events. The first, and main event, is an immigration seminar featuring three excellent speakers who are experts in their respective fields.

Faris Al Fadhat, Vice Rector IV for Students, Alumni, and AIK, was the main speaker. He spoke about How the Pandemic Changed Our Political Landscape at this event. Faris stated that the pandemic era has altered the global community in a variety of ways, including human mobility and the economy.

“Because the pandemic period changed how people moved from one place to another, I appreciate the immigration authorities who have worked hard to maintain access in and out of our country.” It will be essential Indonesia’s economic recovery.” Mr. Faris stated

Andry Indrady, the Head of the Class I Immigration Office of TPI Yogyakarta, was also present for the second session of this seminar. On this occasion, Andry revealed that immigration is present and has improved the function of community service. Furthermore, at the seminar, which was also attended by UMY international students, Andry advised them on what they should and should not do during their time at UMY.

“The Yogyakarta Immigration Office continues to do its best to serve the people.” This was especially true for the international students who attended the event. Please follow the rules in this country and respect the culture and society in which you live. The most important thing, of course, is that you complete your studies on time.” Andry, please.

This seminar featured Fadia Fitriyanti, Vice Dean II for Human Resource at the UMY Faculty of Law, who spoke about the Effectiveness of Visit Visa-Free Regulations During a Pandemic Period. The government’s Visit Visa-Free Policy, according to Fadia, is effective. However, limiting people’s freedom of movement must be reconsidered.

In addition to the Immigration Seminar, the other series of events in the Karyo Festival are Eazy Passport and Immigration Consultation. The immigration office moved quickly during this session to assist the academic community of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta in the process of obtaining and changing new passports.
