Erasmus+ Program goes to UMY

Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta with 50+ agreement framework schemes with European education institutions continue to expand and stretghen its international collaboration with concrete cooperation.

Erasmus, or the EuRopean Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students is an educational mobility program provided by the European Union for students and professional education staff. The program has mobilized millions of European students and professionals to various institutions in 40+ countries around the world.

Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta as a proven institution for internationalization has received delegations from the Erasmus+ program, Prof. Miguel Angel Barbeto and Prof. Nuria Pombo San Miguel.

“The arrival of Prof. Miguel and Prof. Nuria, courtesy of Erasmus+ program is hoped to enhance the learning process in UMY, by providing world-class education professionals from institutions around the world, the transfer of knowledge in other areas are also encouraged to improve the learning process and administration in UMY” said Yordan Gunawan, Head of International Relations Office of UMY.

The professor visitations from Erasmus, as one of the most prestigious educational programmes in the world, is the newest achievement of UMY and its internationalization effort.

Prof. Miguel and Prof. Nuria will conduct their visiting professor program for 6 months in UMY, Prof Miguel and Prof. Nuria will teach in various faculties in UMY, in addition to the typical lectures, dissemination and knowledge transfer of education administration and other research expertise will also be conducted.
