Cordial Visit from Hanze University Groningen to UMY
Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta with 50+ agreement framework schemes with European education institutions continue to expand and stretghen its international collaboration with concrete cooperation.
In that sense, in expanding its European chapter of cooperation, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta continue to receive international delegations from all around the world and on Mon, 20th June 2020, Cooperation and International Affairs Office of UMY received a visit from Hanze University Groningen.
The meeting began with networking lunch with delegates from Hanze University Groningen, Mr. Hyllan Weijer and Mrs. Judith Pellican, also in the meeting were representatives from the Medicine and Health Sciences faculty.
The meeting discussed on respective parties history and internationalization effort in addition to brief explanation of education and administrative systems.
Yordan Gunawan, Head of International Relations Office of UMY stated that “It is with a great desire that our discussion today does not end with this visit, a future fruitful cooperation can hopefully be nurtured between both parties”
Mrs. Judith in responding to the request of cooperation stated that “…We thank you for your hospitality in responding our visit, our cooperation will be under our consideration with values of democratic process.”
In other separate discussion, both parties heavily remarked on the desire for the discussion to end in a productive and concrete result from the cooperations.
