Feb signed MoA with KKBS , Thailand

Sept 12 – Generally,  UMY is the leading University that strives to make a good university same level with other leading universities with slogan Young and Global.  So to make the slogan become, the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta (UMY) is continuing to cooperate with various institutions within and outside the country. This time FEB UMY conducted a Memorandum Of Agreement (MoA) with Khon Kaen Business School (KKBS) Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy Khon Kaen University Thailand on Friday (8/9) at UMY Integrated Campus A.R Fachrudin Building A 5th Floor.

Dr. Rizal Yaya SE., M.Sc., Ak.CA as Dean of FEB UMY in his speech said that this is also one of the development steps in the International Program of Management and Business (IMaBs) program. It also aims to improve the quality of students and lecturers especially in the development of journal publications and quality improvement of UMY students. “I am very happy that this is an excellent opportunity for the exchange of experiences in the fields of education, research and scientific publications,” he added.

The same thing was also delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pensri Jaroenwanit from KKBS party. She also said he was very happy with this MoA because it is the first agreement with universities in Indonesia. “We are very happy because Indonesia is a big country and many cultures. In addition, our knowledge about Indonesia is still small. So we need a lot to learn. Therefore, MoA is good for the development of students and also lecturers and education from both institutions. ” In addition, Pensri also hopes this MoA could strengthen the relationship between Khon Kaen University (KKU) Thailand and UMY. Besides Pensri also said the future of this cooperation can develop better. “In the future, we will support student exchange by providing good offers in educational financing,” he said.

The purposes of this agreement are to develop academic and education collaboration and to promote a joint relation between UMY and KKBS. Both institutions undertake to promote and develop cooperation in the following ways, on the basis of equality, and reciprocity which is  exchange of teaching staff/lecturers, Exchange of researchers, Exchange of students, exchange of academic information and publications, conducting reciprocal lectures and seminars, Cooperating in research and the publication of its result, identifying other mutually agreed opportunities for collaboration.
