Signing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) UMY & ASIA University

2nd September – University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) is committed to always improve the quality of education provided to the campus academic community. With that commitment UMY again signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with foreign universities in cooperation with UMY. It is a form of UMY consistency as the “Young and Global” campus and increase the cooperation that makes UMY as World Class University.

Dr. Ir. Gunawan Budiyanto, M.P as the Rector of UMY, signed a memorandum of understanding with the university in Taiwan, ASIA University, on Thursday (8/31) at Ruang Sidang DirektorPascasarjana. The arrival of ASIA University for the signing of the MoU is a follow up of UMY’s previous visits to various universities in Taiwan. The MoU aims to explore each of its potentials in areas agreed by both parties.

The cooperation between the two universities is implemented in several areas, including the mobility of faculty and students from both institutions that can be implemented through various student exchange programs or visiting professor programs. The MoU also provides opportunities for both institutions in curriculum development, such as collaborative practice in research being asked, as well as exchanging and sharing teaching materials, publications, and references.

Both universities agree that if there are specific matters in translating agreed terms it will be discussed further together. With the signing of the agreement is expected each institution can further promote and improve its quality in contributing to society.
