In her remarks, Prof. Roziyeva conveyed her appreciation for the warm reception at UMY and highlighted the urgent need for the collaboration. “Bukhara University currently has a high demand among students eager to study medical and health sciences, but we face limitations in teaching staff,” she said. She emphasized that the proposed Joint Medical School, alongside the teaching hospital planned for construction, would significantly benefit BUI students and the broader community in Bukhara. Following the discussion, the delegation toured UMY’s cutting-edge laboratories and mini-hospital facilities, gaining insights into the institution’s state-of-the-art medical training infrastructure. The visit continued with trips to PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital and AMC Muhammadiyah Hospital, both key partners of UMY. These visits provided an opportunity to share knowledge on hospital management and strategies for developing medical and health science faculties.
The collaboration between UMY and BUI signifies a milestone in fostering global academic partnerships. Once realized, the Joint Medical School is expected to enhance medical education in Uzbekistan while promoting cross-cultural and institutional exchange.
