Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Receives Another Erasmus + Fund for Student and Staff Exchange

Yogyakarta (4/10), Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) as a leading university in Indonesia, gains the trust of Erasmus + to be able to continue the exchange of students and staff. UMY is the only private university in Yogyakarta that gets the opportunity from Erasmus +.

Alianza 4 Universidades (A4U) received funding from Erasmus + amount to 38,010.00€ for Indonesia in 2020-2021. This fund will help to continue the exchange of students and staff between A4U member universities (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, ​​Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, and Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona) and 7 Indonesian partner universities including Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY).

Through the Erasmus + program, students can improve their language and intercultural skills, boost their confidence, and gain international experience that helps improve their qualifications. Getting the opportunity to do research abroad can help doctoral students jumpstart their careers. Besides, the staff also get best practices and have direct experience from different education systems in this program.

In addition, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta has the opportunity to develop collaboration in teaching and research, develop talent, and increase the number of international students and staff. (hnl)
