As a reputable University, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta will send four lecturers to Spain under the program of Erasmus+ conducted by the Scheme of The Alliance of 4 on this May. It is planned the Lecturers will spend about a month in Spain to do research under the supervision of the researcher from host university whilst their allowance and accommodation will be covered by the program.

On February 27, 2018, the 4 guarantee which is Ms. Erna Rochmawati M.Sc., M.Med., Ph.D. from Master Program of Nursery), Ms. Pramitha Esha Nirmala Dewi, S. Farm., M.Sc., Apt from Department of Pharmacy, Ms. Sabtanti Hrimurti, Ph.D. from Department of Pharmacy, and Ridho Al-Hamdi, Ph.D. from Social and Political Science Faculty met Prof. Achmad Nurmandi as the Vice Rector V and Mr. Eko Priyo Purnomo, Ph.D. as the Executive Director of Cooperation and International Affairs to had a briefing regarding their departure to Spain. There is said in the briefing, the guarantee should optimize their responsibility for the program without neglecting their role as the representative of UMY to bring and widen the missions of the University.

As the briefing occurred, Prof. Achmad Nurmandi states that the program should not for research purposes only, he hopes the guarantee could bring motivation to other lectures in UMY for taking a scholarship. Mr. Eko Priyo Purnomo as Executive Director of Cooperation and International Affairs also wish this program could be opened up the opportunity for UMY to widen its cooperation by inviting the lecturers and the students from host University to do Staff and Student Mobility Program to UMY.
