UMY as one of the leading campus in Indonesia regarded with its excellence accreditation and adequate facilities, often considered for collaboration partner from other universities. On Tuesday 3rd of July 2018, Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto (UMP) visited UMY to follow up the good relations and attend the MoU signing, continuing the previous discussion of cooperation that went on 31st of March, 2018 that also took place in UMY.
“We would like to give a warm welcome to the UMP for coming to our campus on this special day” said dr.Fairindira Vesti Rahmasari, M.Sc, as the Head of Administrative Cooperation, opening the agenda in that day. After the welcoming ceremony, the agenda was continued with the speech from Dr. Ir Gunawan Budiyanto, M.P as the rector of UMY, delivering his gladness for UMP’s visit to UMY.
UMP’s rector, Dr. H Syamsuhadi Irsyad, S.H., M.H., also had delivered his speech in this agenda.
“We would like to deliver our gratitude to UMY that welcome us and agreed to signed this MoU since this cooperation has important meaning for us”. He stated.
Having a new faculty (Faculty of Medicine), Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto is looking forward for other partner to increase their progress and quality. UMP decided to look forward for cooperation with UMY.
“Really glad to look forward for a collaboration with UMY since UMY is one of the leading campus with the adequate facilities, and we believed that the cooperation between UMP and UMY can increase the progress of our faculty specifically the cooperation between both Faculties of Medicine in both universities.’’ He added.
The MoU and its cooperation focused on the Faculty of Health and Medicine. It intended to increase UMP’s Faculty of Medicine quality and accreditation. The cooperation is also supported by the third party, which is Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Salatiga, that also sent its representation to attend MoU signing agenda.
The agenda was also attended by the Vice Rector for International Affairs & Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Achmad Nurmandi, M.Sc, representative from Law Bureau of UMY, and the representative from the Faculty of Health and Medicine from both universities. After the signing section, the agenda was continued with further discussion to the possibility of next stage cooperation which is the MoA.
“I hope we can keep this good relations and further cooperation in the future” stated Dr. H Syamsuhadi Irsyad, S.H., M.H., as the agenda was officially closed.
