UMY and Autonomous University of Madrid Agreed to Have an Agreement

Universitas Muhammadiya Yogyakarta (UMY) keep widening its cooperation in the course of becoming one of the Reputable University and top 500 University. In his visitation to Spain to attend International Conference on ASEAN Studies (ICOAS) 1, Dr. Gunawan Budiyanto, MP., as UMY’s Rector and the team were also initiating cooperation with Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM) which marked by both parties signed a MoU.
In March 22nd, 2018, UMY Rector who was accompanied by Dr. Nano Prawoto, SE, M.Si, Prof. Dr. Achmad Nurmandi, M.Sc, Ir, Nafi Ananda Utama, M.S, Dr. Mukti Fajar ND, S.H., M.Hum, dan Eko Priyo Purnomo, M. Res, P.hD, visited UAM to sign the MoU which it covers many filed; Campus collaboration, research, teaching, and staff and student mobility. Those were considered as visualization of UMY’s commitment to becoming an international reputable University.
Partnerships that have been established abroad are kept maintains and new partners are keep stranded as the steps to develop the number of International Mobility, either it is for Students’ program such as student exchange, internship program, scholarship program or UMYs’ Staff such as visiting fellow and joint research. Furthermore, signing a MoU is conceived as the starter of agreement within the parties in many fields on its way to accelerate UMY achievement on becoming “Reputable University” said Eko as Executive Director of International and Cooperation Affairs UMY.
