The Legal System Differentiation: A Cornerstone to Continue the MoU between FUU Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and FH Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta

“Though Indonesia is applying Civil while Malaysia is having Common as their legal system, it supposed to be a great chance to build up and compare the legal science”, stated by Dr. Iwan Satriawan as Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Fakultas Hukum (FH) Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY), in the renewal MoU signing with Fakulti Undang-Undang (FUU), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).

The statement is in line with the step that has been passed through by both FUU UUM and FH UMY. This two institutions are hold with the signing of renewal MoU and held public lecture on the introduction to Malaysian legal system as one of aligned agenda which delivered by Prof. Dr. Hasani Mohd. Ali as Deputy Dean for Networking & Income Generation, FUU UKM, on November 28, 2018. This continuance commitment is a proof that all goals has been achieved as the desired effect from the Agreement.

 

Public Lecture on the Introduction to Malaysian Legal System

In this occasion, among parties, FUU UKM which represented by Prof. Dr. Hasani Mohd. Ali, the Officials of FH UMY and Mr. Yordan Gunawan as the Director of Office of International Affairs UMY are eager to maintain this cooperation for elevating the reputation and academic quality.
