Starting the Collaboration, a Visit Came from Universiti Brunei Darussalam to Have a Cooperation with UMY

Yogyakarta (08/07/2019). Representative from Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD),
Mohammad Nabil Almunawar, M.Sc, Ph.D (Senior Assistant Professor) came to
Yogyakarta to make a cooperation with Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) on
July 8th , 2019. The meeting was held at Vice-Rector 5 and welcomed by Eko Priyo
Purnomo, M. Res., Ph.D (Director of Cooperation and International Affairs), and Yordan
Gunawan (Director of Office of International Affairs) to discuss
collaboration among universities such as research partnership, faculty/students
exchange, academic workshop/seminar, or global engagement.

In the meeting and discussion, both universities agreed to have a university-partnership
that will be conducted next semester. It aimed to build an effective way to give
opportunities for students, lecturers, and staffs to build a shared-partnership between each party.

UBD has several faculties such UBD School of Business and Economics; Faculty of
Science; PAPRSB Institute of Health Science; Faculty of Art and Social Sciences; Faculty
of Integrated Technologies. Similar to UMY which has several faculties alike. In addition,
both parties realized that this collaboration will facilitate the provision of prosperity in
