ISRAK IIUM visits FAI UMY discussing “The Impact of Religious of Inter-marriage in the Islamic Perspective”

The Islamic Revealed Knowledge Students’ Secretariat (ISRAK) of International Islamic Universiti Malaysia (IIUM) is visiting the the Faculty of Islamic Studies (FAI) Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) on Wednesday (16/1) to have seminar entitled “The Impact of Religious of Inter-marriage in the Islamic Perspective” in the Ruang Sidang FAI.

ISRAK represents students from Kulliyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge (IRK) which consists of three departments (1) Department of Quran & Sunnah Studies; (2) Department of Fiqh & Usul al-Fiqh; (3) Department of Usul al-Din & Comparative Religion.

 

ISRAK visitation to FAI UMY is one of the tour agendas to several Islamic-based universities in Yogyakarta including Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) which was already done the day before.

The agenda starts with the presentation from Mr. Eko Priyo Purnomo, M.Si., M.Res., Ph.D of Cooperation and International Affairs (CIA) UMY presenting the UMY in general and the scholarships opportunities for Malaysian students who want continue for master degree. Then, the agenda is continued by discussion about the Islamic perspective on religious impact of inter-marriage. (mmi)
