IPIEF UMY held a public lecture on Climate Change and Water Resource Management
In order to provide an understanding about the importance of water resource management to face climate change, International Program for Islamic Economics and Finance (IPIEF) UMY held a public lecture “Climate Change and Water Resource Management”. The public lecture was held on Thursday (11/1) in Sidang Direktur room, 1st floor of Post-Graduate Building.
Dimas Bagus Wiranatakusuma, SE., M.Ec as Director of IPIEF, in his speech, greatly appreciated the holding of the public lecture. In addition, he also warmly welcomed the arrival of Prof. Yoon Lee, Ph.D., who came directly from Sun Moon University, South Korea to give an introduction to IPIEF Students about his research on water resource management.
Meanwhile, Prof. Yoon Lee, Ph.D., a Professor at the Department of International Economics and Trade at Sun Moon University, in his lecture remarks that the water is a valuable natural resource for our daily lives and climate change has a bad impact for it. We should link the water resources management and climate change in our development to balance the economic value, social value, and environmental value.
