The General Chairman of Muhammadiyah, Haedar Nashir and the Chairwoman of Aisyiyah, Siti Noordjannah Djohantini, also accompanied by Chairman of the Tarjih and Tajdid Assembly PP Muhammadiyah Syamsul Anwar, and the Rector of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) Gunawan Budiyanto on his trip to Taiwan on December 1 up to 4, 2018 also attended the inauguration of the Dakwah and Lazismu Service Office of the the Special Branch of Muhammadiyah in Taiwan. In this agenda, the Deputy cCairman of the Indonesian Economic and Trade Office (IETO) in Taipei, Siswadi also participated.
On this occasion, Haedar conveyed, the highest appreciation to PCIM (the Special Branch of Muhammadiyah) and PCIA (the Special Branch of ‘Aisyiah) Taiwan for the establishment of Taiwan’s Dakwah and Lazismu Service Office.
Haedar is desired that this missionary office can be a missionary mission brings the progress of society for at least to the large Indonesian diaspora families in Taiwan.
“With this brotherhood there will be a solid unity. Additionally, the knowledge and information can be produced to develop for the benefit of the community, Haedar said.
In line with Haedar, Siswadi also hopes that the presence of the PCIM missionary Office can become a power for Indonesia in the Taiwan. Siswadi said, in Taiwan there is approximately 134 Indonesian social organizations. So, it is hoped that the new PCIM Taiwan Office will become a forum for cooperation between the Muhammadiyah Taiwan and IETO Taipei.
“With the power of the new management, IETO Taiwan is very optimistic to be able to enlighten Indonesian citizens in Taiwan,” Siswadi concluded.
