Dr. Muhammad Lokman: Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Has a Good Academic Atmosphere

Kulliyyah of Nursing IIUM – Nursing Program UMY

This Monday is such a rush yet incredible moment for Nursing Program Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) to received two Lecturers and eight students from Kulliyyah of Nursing International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Their visitation is intended to follow up the Memorandum of Agreement between these two institutions to embody into the real form of cooperation, especially for the student mobility concern for both Undergraduate and Master program.

In this chance, Dr. dr. Wiwik Kusumawati, M.Kes. (Dean, Faculty of Medicine UMY) delivered that UMY especially Department of Nursing (Undergraduate and Master Program) is really pleased to have them as the partner institutions to get involved in the UMY learning experience.

To create the sustainability of this is supposed to transform to the real shape i.e. student exchange programs, short program, visiting fellow, transfer credit and even enrolling the full study program at UMY. That statement was explained by Dr. Eko Priyo Purnomo (Executive Director, Cooperation and International Affairs Office UMY).

As the closing remark from Asst. Prof. Dr. Muhmmad Lokman Bin Md. Isa (IIUM), he concluded that the cooperation between UMY and IIUM is going smoothly since the beginning. Moreover, Yogyakarta is the best environment for being a place for study.
