On Tuesday 3rd February 2015, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta welcomed the delegation from Zanzibar University of Tanzania being convinced to establishes academic cooperation between two universities to promote the development, research and other academic activities between two institutions.

The arrangement establishes a formal academic relationship between Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta and Zanzibar University is to provide a foundation for establishing stronger linkages with Southeast Asia countries especially with Indonesia and identifying specific areas for students in Africa in terms of academic exchange and research collaboration.

The signing today’s Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) represented by Prof. Mustafa Roshash as a Vice – Chancellor from Zanzibar University followed by two staffs delegation Dr. Mwinyi Haji and Mr. Saleh Mwinyi. ‘For our university, this means more than simply to increasing the traffic of international cooperation to support Zanzibar University goals for the future’ Said Prof. Mustafa Roshash.

‘We are really pleasant to welcome the delegation form Zanzibar University and I would like to appreciate for your willingness to visit our campus in Yogyakarta and please take your time to explore our beloved university’ Said Prof. Dr. Bambang Cipto, MA as a rector from Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta.
