Comparative studies “Public Opinion” between USA & Indonesia By speakers from USA &UMY

On April 30th 2018, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) honored by Dr. Andrew Garner from University of Wyoming, USA and Dr. Muria Endah Sokowati from Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta to educate students and those interested in the topic “Understanding Public Opinion: Comparative Studies Between USA & Indonesia”. Eventually, public opinion is about the believe and don’t believe or accepted and rejected on the public perception that people usually consume on any social media platform. Further, internet and social media are the easier tool for hoaxes, in addition, informed and educated are the useful to analysis the public opinion.
Mr.Eko Priyo Purnomo, Ph.D. as UMY Executive Director of Cooperation and International Affairs also speech in this seminar. “Hopefully everyone can learn a lot about culture diversity between USA & Indonesia the issue of Communication and Hoaxes” he said.
The topic of this seminar is interesting. Since currently we use media and consume media in our life so it’s really useful for student and those interested to analyst about what kind of information will be good, Could it analyst?, and what is the good and bad things of media.
